Oh, the joys of home ownership
Came home to this lovely sight last Wednesday night. The fir tree in the front yard that had a little bit of a lean to it decided it needed a lot more lean and fell over. Currently, the only thing holding it up are the telephone/cable lines in front of the house.
I called Puget Sound Energy about it and they came out and took a look at it, and proceeded to cut ONE BRANCH off the tree that was very close to a power line. When asked why he won't just cut the rest of the tree out of the lines since he had his bucket truck and chainsaw out already he said "not our lines, not our problem." Thanks a lot buddy, I'm sure the coffee at 7-11 would have still been warm if you got there 15 minutes later. Jackass.
Next I called Comcast since the only thing holding up the tree was the main line for the entire neighborhood's cable/telephone/internet. Comcast's response? "Sorry, we don't deal with trees, call us when it falls done." I kid you not.
Luckily, I found a tree service who will cut the tree down and get it out of the telephone lines, they'll be here tomorrow morning to clean it up.
Lots more updates coming soon, we just need to get our internet hooked up at the house (again, thanks Comcast for making us wait two weeks to turn on our cable and internet!).

bucket trucks were very helpful when you are cutting or trimming some trees, and it help you finish your job faster.
